Over the past three years, Elite Sports has been laser-focused on improving youth athlete, family and community experience within youth sports. Our next mission is to deliver a world-class facility that redefines education, elite sports training and community involvement in Southwest Florida. Our project will push the boundaries of what is possible, giving our youth and their families a truly exceptional opportunity and experience.

In addition to our anchor sports of indoor volleyball, ice hockey, basketball, baseball and football we are also excited about our novel offerings including a state-of-the art sports performance and recovery center, indoor sand volleyball courts, trophy bass sports-fishing, rowing and indoor virtual golf/baseball range.
We will offer a virtual education program formulated by Fortune 500 and education leaders alike. In a quickly changing landscape we have to ask ourselves: "are we teaching to where the puck is headed?". Our youth will need a new set of technical, creative and entrepreneurship skills to prepare them for the future.
From college showcase athletic events to a family-friendly concert: Our athletic village will be where elite sports and innovative education integrates with fun and family life. Due to hectic schedules and sporting events, many elite athletes and their families can find it hard to squeeze in other fun. Our integrated campus will fix that with something for everyone.

Dr. Michael Lehan transitioned from a six-year NFL career with the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns to education, quickly rising as a leader. As Assistant Superintendent, he implemented programs that accelerated learning, closed opportunity gaps, and increased college matriculation. A passionate educator, he has taught collegiate courses to develop future school leaders. Dr. Lehan holds a doctorate in education, is a local business owner and entrepreneur, and serves on the board of the University of Minnesota Foundation. Proficient in both public and private school landscapes, he currently oversees ten sites with Fusion Education Group.

Justin brings over 20 years of experience with a background in management consulting, corporate strategy, AI and financial management for several Fortune 500 companies including Mosaic, Coca-Cola, Outback Steakhouse and Siemens Corp. Justin is currently the Director of AI and Enterprise Intelligence at The Mosaic Company and holds three other active board appointments including The Salvation Army.
Justin has managed financial budgets and targets across several operational areas and corporate divisions including annual Cap-Ex Budgets exceeding $1B, EBITDA targets exceeding $5B and Revenue Targets exceeding $30B. He has a strong background in corporate strategy working with leading management consulting firms including McKinsey, Deloitte, IBM, BCG, PWC and KPMG.

Eric Wessel is the President of Wessel Contracting, a family-run business with over 30 years of construction experience. Specializing in pre-cast erecting, concrete block and steel structure work, Wessel Contracting has earned a solid reputation for delivering high quality commercial structures tailored to the unique needs of each project. Eric is also on the Executive Board of Premier Ranch Development, a land development company in Manatee County that works with municipalities to form public private partnerships. Eric also has over 20 years' experience of local ice sports experience to bring to the facility project. He is also vice president of the Clearwater Ice Storm travel hockey program and is owner of the Manatee Admirals, a high school hockey team that competes in the Lightning High School Hockey league. Eric has also served on the USA Hockey statewide affiliate SAHOF.
